Shirley, an expert stylist, turned her natural ability and passion for artistry into a prestigious career cutting and styling an elite, worldwide clientele. Her accolades include features in Vogue and Lucky magazines. Born in Hawaii, Shirley trained to be a visual artist at the San Francisco Institute of Art. Her career in hairdressing began at Architects and Heroes Salon in San Francisco as a trainee and eventually, a favored stylist. She moved to New York to join Bumble & bumble where she flourished, and became known for her cutting-edge style and masterful technique with celebrities in fashion and music.
In addition to her work in the salon, she began styling shoots for fashion and beauty magazines, and helped develop the technical curriculum at Bumble and bumble University. She taught hairdressers to develop their eye, master timeless techniques, and create work suitable for every individual. She toured the country for Bumble and bumble to conduct seminars and helped to launch new products internationally. Prior to Station Row, Shirley created and co-owned The Parlor Salon & Apothecary in Wellesley.
